A recent EnergyQuest report has shown that South Australia is leading the country in wind power.

26% of South Australia’s energy needs were being met by wind power, compared to 3% Nationally.  This is a large jump for South Australia rising from less than 1% 5 years ago.  This has had a massive impact on the coal produced power in the state which has fallen from 42% to 25%, with wind effectively replacing coal as a power source.
